Hi Outiner! Welcome to our safety tips.
At Outin we claim the use of education as a tool for change, since people must be free, not brave. However, your safety is our priority, and with the aim of making your entire experience at Outin as safe and comfortable as possible, we have prepared a list with a series of aspects to take into account when interacting with other users. This way, you will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful things in life, such as meeting new people and creating social connections, in the best possible way.
Try to chat and get to know the other person on Outin as much as possible, before moving the conversation to other social networks.
Let's normalize the fact of flashing with a person that we liked for different reasons but when interacting and chatting with that person, we realize that we are not on the same page and we undo the flash.
Report inappropriate behavior from other users, such as:
Users asking for money or donations
Users with sexist, racist or LGBTIQphobic attitudes.
Try to meet and chat as much as possible with the person you intend to meet at the event.
If you don't like the other person or you do not feel comfortable, unflash before attending the event.
Do not expose your user name or any other identifier in any social media to avoid having unwanted contacts.
Do not give your bank account number or other financial and personal information that could compromise you.
Do not ingest drinks from unknown people.
Control your drink at all times, never let strangers hold it.
Plan your event in advance, make sure you have a safe option to get home when the event is over.
If possible, use public transport to arrive and return from the event.
Always respect the living space of the other attendees.
Always follow all the measures and advice provided by the health authorities and the event organizers against COVID-19.
If you do not feel comfortable, leave, there are plenty more fish in the sea.
If possible, go to the meeting with your friends nearby.
If you go alone, let your friends know where you are going and with who. For greater security send your live location.
If you're going to meet someone face to face, don't drink alcohol, sometimes first impressions make all the difference.
If you are not liking the behavior of your flash and you are not in the same mood, let them know, leave and continue enjoying the party.
Avoid staying in remote places with poor visibility.
Keep your mobile phone always charged and close at hand in case of emergency.
In case you have been the victim of any inappropriate behavior by another event attendee, we invite you to go to the sexual harassment help point of the event or to the private security and let us know by reporting the user through the app.
We recommend planning your meeting before attending the event, since in large events, connections may fail or be delayed and it will be more difficult to find your flash.
ALCOHOL AND DRUGS:
Aware of the reality of social events in our society, Outin recommends responsible alcohol consumption and always for adults.
Know your limits and avoid consuming more than necessary, if you feel drunk, do not consume more.
Know yourself and be aware of the effect that alcohol or other drugs can have on your body and how they can affect your decision-making.
Never be influenced by other people who encourage you to take drugs or more alcohol than you should.
In case you consume alcohol:
Alternate it with drinking water regularly, especially during day events.
It is preferable to eat (food low in salt and rich in protein) before and during alcohol consumption.
We recommend to stop consuming alcohol at least 1 hour before the end of the event.
Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
Practice sexual relations always consensual by all participants.
Communication is the key to maintain a pleasant and comfortable sexual relationship, use it at any time.
Outin recommends enjoying safe sex with a condom whenever there is penetration in order to avoid sexually transmitted diseases.
